Transforming the Health Sector Response to Family Violence Forum

Aim:

To engage those with a common interest in addressing family violence in the health sector to come together in a coordinated effort to transform the health sector response.

Program overview:

Keynote Prof Nadine Wathen will present the work that has been done for Canadian health practitioners through the VEGA project. Latest information on the Victorian family violence reform in health will also be provided. The forum will have two interactive panels exploring integrated health systems response to family violence for all members of the family, including how to respond to children. These discussions will be led by Prof Kelsey Hegarty and Dr Anita Morris. Panel presenters include policy makers, survivors, and practitioners. The focus of the event is knowledge translation for early intervention of family violence.

Event start time is 8.45am arrival for a 9.00am start. Event concludes 1.30pm. Lunch is included.
