The newly constructed Seniors Exercise Park is an innovative design in outdoor exercise equipment, integrating multiple stations specifically designed for older people to improve strength, balance, facilitator, mobility and function. This free workshop will include an online component (Part 1) via Zoom and a practical face to face component (Part 2) at Ivanhoe Park.


Participants must attend both components to complete the workshop

Location: Ivanhoe Park, Lower Heidelberg Road (Please arrive 15 minutes prior)

At this 3-hour workshop, you will learn:

  • To recognise the impact of lack of physical activity in older age
  • To understand the beneficial effects of using the Seniors Exercise Park equipment
  • How to use the equipment safely
  • How to use the ENJOY-ME-APP (Mobile App)
  • What exercises can be prescribed and how to progress them
  • How to run a group exercise class

This workshop gives you the opportunity to expand your knowledge and will include practical application experience in using the Seniors Exercise Park for your clients.
