This message guide contains recommendations that will help you have more productive conversations about masculine stereotypes in Australia. It is based on extensive research undertaken by Common Cause Australia on behalf of VicHealth in 2019 and early 2020.

Mark Chenery (Common Cause Australia) and Associate Professor Michael Flood (Queensland University of Technology) will talk through the research that informed the development of the guide and top tips for messaging and communicating on the topic of masculinities.

Practitioners involved in engaging men and boys will also speak to their experiences of framing masculinity for gender equality, health and wellbeing outcomes.

We acknowledge the Wurundjeri people and other peoples of the Kulin nation as the traditional owners of the land on which our work in the community takes place. We pay our respects to their Elders past and present.
