If you’re doing gender equality or primary prevention work, it’s likely that you’ve come across backlash and resistance. This one-day workshop for practitioners will give you effective, evidence-based tools and strategies to respond to resistance.
This one day course aims to build participants knowledge and skills to plan for and respond to backlash and resistance in their work to prevent violence against women.
What will I learn?
- Definitions and forms of resistance and backlash in PVAW
- How to plan for and respond to resistance, at both the individual and organisational level
- How to minimise the impacts of resistance and through wellbeing practise and individual techniques
Who is this training for?
- Experienced practitioners working in the primary prevention of violence against women.
Please note: Participants are required to have a strong understanding of violence against women, the drivers of violence against women, and primary prevention. This content will not be covered in this training.
