Who we are

About Inner East Primary Care Partnership

We are one of 28 Primary Care Partnerships across Victoria and are funded by the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) to improve the health and wellbeing of the communities of Boroondara, Manningham, Monash and Whitehorse.

Our partnership is made up of 38 member organisations from across the wide range of health and community services in Melbourne’s inner east.

We are governed by an Executive made up of CEOs and senior managers from within our catchment who provide high level advice and steer our strategic decision making.

Partnership development is facilitated by our independent and neutral role. We offer backbone support to organisations across a range of projects and programs. Our small, energetic and highly qualified team supports partner agencies to improve health planning and prevention, health literacy, respond to the health needs of the community and improve coordination between services. We work by providing advice on best practice and identifying opportunities to link partner agencies together to improve care and promote health.

We have a unique role in the Inner East in supporting collaborative health prevention – working upstream to improve the health of the community. Our focus is in supporting planning and evaluation as well as leading and collaborating on a number of key projects.

We acknowledge the Wurundjeri people and other peoples of the Kulin nation as the traditional owners of the land on which our work in the community takes place. We pay our respects to their Elders past and present.
