Alcohol is a contributing factor in a substantial proportion of family violence cases. With Government, public and media interest in family violence at an all-time high, the case for action to prevent alcohol-related violence against women and their children has never been clearer.

This free event, hosted by VicHealth and La Trobe University’s Judith Lumley Centre and Centre for Alcohol Policy Research, features as a pre-event symposium for the Global Alcohol Policy Conference (GAPC 2017).

We acknowledge the Wurundjeri people and other peoples of the Kulin nation as the traditional owners of the land on which our work in the community takes place. We pay our respects to their Elders past and present.
