- Event Date: 23/05/2018
- Time: 9.30am -2.30pm
The Centre for Culture, Ethnicity and Health (CEH) and the Ethnic Communities’ Council of Victoria are working to support the transition to the NDIS for people of culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds.
There are two sessions:
Session 1: 9.30am – 12.30pm: Engaging with CALD Communities – a professional development session for Disability Service Providers
CEH and ECCV are running a FREE training and networking session for disability service providers in Inner and Outer Eastern Melbourne to increase their ability to reach and engage with CALD communities.
Session 2: 12.30pm – 2.30pm: Building networks to support people with a disability from CALD communities
This event is designed for disability service providers and ethnic and multicultural organisations in the East to share knowledge about their services, build networks and establish partnerships to ensure greater choice and control for CALD NDIS participants. It will also be an opportunity:
- For disability service providers to strengthen engagement with CALD communities through partnerships
- For ethnic agencies to build connections with disability and mainstream service providers.
